I am the Idiot for falling for this scam…My Fiance was called and told that she was selected to attend a free dinner and cookware presentation. We attended the presentation, and were sold on the efficiency and health benefits of the cookware. However at $2,760, I was still tentative. Then the presenter said he would give $1,000 extra to the first two who signed. I went back and sat for the financing and sales contract. I kept asking about the $1,000 but it was pushed off because the sales person was busy. In the end We found that it was 40% savings off a catalog purchase up to $1,000. Right then I should have cancelled. The 1.75%monthly APR on $3,000 should have also been a reason to walk away. We never received the information to put the cookware payments on our registry….And then we received the product which did not perform as explained in the presentation. But wait, there is no return policy….So I am stuck with pots and pans which are back in the original box after one use. The stacking, no oil or butter, medium to low cooking, all the efficiency benefits were not realistic and the cookware is just too heavy for some users. So I have paid $460 and still owe as much as I did the day I purchased it, have been treated poorly by customer service reps at NHF and the finance company. Both will call you 10 times a day and every family member if you don’t pay, but will not return calls otherwise, or make promises to placate you. While seeking a resolution, I fell a week behind in payments and NHF sent me an email outlining how my credit rating will be attacked. I was told that was a customary email for 30 day late or first month payees who miss. I was neither. Anyway, I will be paying for cookware that is still in the box for years to come.
